The Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission was created in 1935 (Ch. 17016, Laws) to supersede the Dept. of Game and Fresh Water Fish (1927, Ch. 11838, Laws). The post of State Game and Fish Commissioner was originally created in 1913 (Ch. 6535, Laws) in the Dept. of Game and Fish.
